Although James Blake has a number of musical awards under his belt (via IMDb), he doesn’t take all the credit for his success. Rather, he’s confessed on numerous occasions that Jameela Jamil served as the muse that made his critically-acclaimed 2019 album, “Assume Form,” come to life, per Bustle. Upon the album’s release, he penned a tweet to his girlfriend, saying, “To @jameelajamil I love you and you are the reason this album exists, but now everyone else has it, so I’ll see you at home in 30 mins and we can talk s*** about everyone.”
He also raved about his girlfriend to Dazed, saying, “It feels good now to just be able to tell people how I feel. I think it’s because I met my girlfriend, and there was no room for pretense. She speaks her mind. It was like, ‘Tell me how you feel. Tell me what you’re thinking.’ In my everyday life, I wasn’t being encouraged to sit behind metaphor or sit behind long silences or be in a mood without explaining what it’s about.” Being the bold, encouraging, and outspoken activist that she is, Jamil inspires us, too. Hopefully, the entertainment power couple will be able to grace red carpets together soon, because we can’t seem to get enough of them.
