This Is What Donald Trump Really Thinks Of Nikki Haley

We’ve never been clear on how former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley feels about her boss, former President Donald Trump — but that’s probably also because she hasn’t been clear about that herself. When Trump first ran for office in 2016 Haley wasn’t exactly a fan, but when the opportunity to join his administration came up, she jumped at a chance and became UN Ambassador (via The Washington Post). She then began referring to Donald Trump as her “friend” until the January 6 riot, when she sought to distance herself from him (via Politico). Yet by April, the Associated Press reported that Haley would not run for president in the future if Trump did, saying, “I would talk to him about it.”
But Trump has told Carol Leonnig and Philip Rucker, authors of “I Alone Can Fix It,” that he’s not interested in any of Haley’s overtures. “Nikki Haley wants to come here [to Mar-a -Lago) so badly. She did a little nasty couple of statements…She has been killed by the party,” Trump said. “When they speak badly about me, the party is not happy about it. It’s pretty amazing. There’s not been anything like this” (via Vanity Fair).
